Hi Marge, My children have cottages in Rose City so we are familiar with the area and decided to travel up north -- enjoy the colors and take in the festivities in West Branch. We enjoyed the West Branch Home tour, Quilt Show and Street Fair. The weather was beautiful for all the the activies. The home owners were very hospitable and the homes lovely. Each of the homes had something unique about them and three of them were Up for Sale. All three were lovely for an interested buyer. We hope to attend again next year. Thanks for mentioning it in your column. West Branch is a quiet little town with cute shops -- We also found we love the Willow Tree Restaurant too. I really look forward to your column each Saturday too. Take care.

Well, today is the last day of September and nowhere on this site do I find an entry to the giveaway. I thought it went through the end of September. Your ad in yesterday's paper was totally misleading and a misrepresentation of the contest. Shameful. And no, I can't go to the store to deposit my entry as I have the cold from hell and am stuck at home.

Macy's is headed right down the path of K Marts. Instead of Macy's being a top of the line store, they will now join the ranks of the cheap.

I saw in the weekend paper that you can send in photos of your garden but the URL listed doesn't work. Can you tell me how to get to where I need to be? I have a beautiful garden this year and I'd love to share my pics!

I am not sure how to find out this information, so I will start here! Several weeks back Glenn Haege's column listed a product that is used to get the stagnent smell out of front loading washers. I didn't realize this is a common problem. Can you help me find out the name/web address of the product that he listed? Thank you, Jackie

On Nov. 30th, 2006 you ran an article about the Holiday Home Tour in the Ford Homes Historic District. The photo that was used is The Benjamin Lovett Home (close personal friend of Henry Ford) and happens to be one of Dearborns most notable Historic Homes. It was one of the featured homes in the tour and my wife and I happen to be the proud owners and we have spent the past three years completely renovating our home inside and out. You may or may not know that this November marks the 70th anniversary of Lovett Hall at The Henry Ford and I thought you might be interested in doing another article. We can provide additional info on the history of Benjamin Lovett and or the District if needed. In closing I would like to invite you to go to www.myspace.com/lovetthome to preview 44 photos of our unique Historic Home. It truely is a "one of a kind" Ford Home.
