Terri, really?

I am so surprised that Terri was kicked off last night. I hated her dress but, I thought that her past projects were interesting. More so than Kenley's designs. Sometimes, I do not understand what the judges are thinking.

Project Runway

I knew this would be the week that Stella had to go. I LOVED Leanne's design this week. Although, I am not sure what the judges saw in Kenley's dress? It's starting to heat up. Joe Faris needs to bring his A game next week or he will be the next to go. I am rooting for him!

Project Runway Finale

First off I LOVED THE SHOW! I'm a huge fan of fashion and Project Runway; I hope to work in the industry one day.

I thought all the designers' fashions were great in their own unique way. Each had an interesting perspective and talent when it came to clothes.

I have to agree with the blog by Kara, I thought Christian's was great because it was refreshing and original. He reminds me of the autuerist, someone with a style uniquely their own. If you saw his clothes in a store you would know instantly that that was a Christian Siriano piece. He has a flare for the dramatics and like Kara said, rightfully so. I think within the fashion world is just like the art world, and should be. Most art you see in a museum is all subjective. What's gorgeous and innovative to one person, maybe dull and ugly to someone else. Who's to say they're wrong? Fashion is the same way. I find some fashions ugly, but to another stylists it's considered beautiful and vice versa. It's all a matter of opinion. Just like there is art that you can put in your home to make it chic and warm, there's art that's in your face, loud and tacky, but people love it. It's like Andy Warhol vs. Norman Rockwell.

Having said that, I thought Christians was great because it was new. At the same time, his clothes throughout the course of the show got redundant, strange, and uncomfortable looking (probably wearing too) as well. You wouldn't want to wear some of those pieces out and about because 1) you would look like a fool and, 2) you couldn't breathe. Those high neck jackets with the ruffles sticking out would be so uncomfortable and stiff. However, that was Christian's entire collection.

Don't get me wrong, he's was the sharpest (that large black hat was "fierce" loved it) but compared to Rami and Jillian's was the least wearable and confortable. But fashion needs that balance. If all fashion was suppose to be wearable you wouldn't get au couture fashion would we? We would be bored.

Rami's draping, weaving, and evening wear were phenomenal. Jillian's knits and jackets were cool too, but Christian gave the most consistent visually appealing work of all three which is what helped him win. They could have easily said that Christian's work was just as redundant as Rami's was with his skinny pants, jackets and fluffy princess sleeves. But Christian had a vision that was far more creative, original and CONFIDENT then anyone else's. And he kept it chic, stylish and fun. I think that's why he won.

Kudos to Christian!

'Green' shopping bags

I've finally gotten a few of those bags, too (mine from Trader Joe's) because I'm also tired of all those plastic bags. In fact, I often rebag my groceries before I put them in the car and send back the not-needed bags because 1) you're right, they put too few things in the bags and 2) does anyone know how to properly bag anymore!?

I was told at Kroger once that if I brought my bags back to be reused, I'd get 5 cents credit per bag. So I did, and the next cashier I got looked at me like I was crazy.

These new reusable bags from Trader Joe's (where they REALLY know how to pack a bag) and others is a great idea!

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.
