Obama

BMAGGIEMAY: He is a muslim according to sharia law. And if you read or are a practitioner of sharia law he's the worst kind of muslim (according to them). That would be a "lapsed" muslim. Two kinds of lapsed muslims. The first, "Mostard Hiti" is a person who isn't born into a muslim family, converts to islam at some point, and then stops being a muslim. The second, "Mostard Fiti" is someone born to a muslim father and doesn't practice muslim articals of faith. I know Wolf Blitzer, Tom Brokaw, the Canadian thought police, and all that insipid ilk have told you what to think on this matter. Now try thinking for yourself. He may not be a muslim as far as your PC demiurgic thought police are concerned but to the rest of the muslim world he most definately is.

DEAD STRIPPERS

Any word on how the investigation is going into the murders of the two strippers who were involved in that fatefull taxpayer funded orgy at Moonigan? I learned of this from an artical on World Net Daily some months back. One young lady was murdered in Detroit and one in Atlanta. Apparently both were killed with the same browning automatic handgun traced back to the Detroit police department. I guess we can't let details get in the way of Kwame a river Kilpatricks new job working for the O'bama campaign.

Blowhard

It is amazing how the libs justify anything and everything Obama does--most knowlegable politicos know that Biden is a joke--who gave him advice to pick him is beyond me--I suspect his wife had a lot to do with it,to keep her and her husband in the spotlight-unlike Cheany,Biden has gone before the national electorate and has been turned down with out a whimper--hopefully we don't have to hear him after November!!!

Obama

Are you so brain dead that your back on the Barack could be a Muslim (after all they like him)so it must be true. Quit writing or drawing useless garbage, are you not better than this. Where is the story about illegal contributions McCain took ($50,000) or the fact McCains backed DHL and now they're pulling out of Ohio and taking 8000 jobs with them. How about the fact that this oil drilling will take 10-15 years to produce and now McCain's aids are saying it could happen in two. When a campaign lies the media has an obligation to call them on it....what's the matter with you guys afraid to insult a little old man. Anybody who has been in government 26 years and has done nothing for the middle class or the Veterans should not be running for the office, let alone be ordained by the US media, who have become nothing more than the paparazzi.

So, he should give up protection?

Plus, silly person, a Suburban can be very efficient if it is used to transport several people. Are you suggesting that Obama drives one alone?

Or, is your real fantasy here that folks like you can persuade Obama to give up his Secret Service protection -- and get himself killed by one of you "good conservatves"?

Your blog post is irresponsible.

MI Winter & Global Warming

Average Annual Temperature is the most important variable in assessing whether our world is warming, but extremes are important also. We have had MOST of the warmest days on record in the last 10 to 15 years. Also, the earth is currently in a relatively elliptical orbit phase that should result in cooler temperatures, all other things being equal. So we would be even warmer if the orbit was in a near circular orbit phase.

George Romney Caricature

You didn't really capture George Romney well at all. Your drawing makes him look more like an Irish pugilist or union boss from the 1930s.

If you want to know what George Romney looked like, look at his son, Mitt. Mitt is very reminiscent in appearance of his father. While I never met the man, I remember him well and I remember his "brainwashing" statement. The News' artist at the time had a cartoon of him at a sink washing his hair--and pretty much washing his campaign down with it. Both father and son are marked by distinguished lantern jaws and a more of a squint and a twinkle in the eye because they smile a lot (as you would expect of pols) along with craggy lines along the face from all that smiling.

I'm not a Romney supporter. I think he's as slick a politician as ever was born, but I do admire his and his father's accomplishments and dedication to public service.

George wasn't a bad governor, but I think he was always more ambitious than he should have been. He should have never run for the Presidency. Instead, he left the governor's office to the incompetent Republican cum liberal William Milliken who never met a tax he didn't like. We've spiraled downward ever since.

Planet UAW cartoon

What an insult to working people everywhere. I'd like to see Mr. Payne maintain his lifestyle on $14 an hour. The UAW worker makes a product the enhances our lives. Mr. Payne makes childish drawings and comments that he thinks are insightful and funny. I have never needed Mr. Payne but I have purchased many cars in my lifetime. He slams a Union that has improved the standard of living for millions of Americans, he should be ashamed to accept anything more than $14 per hour as compensation for his so called work.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
