Stop taking the Bates!

Those children deserve better! Detroit deserves better! "I've heard that somewhere before...oh yeah, in the race between Waters and Kilpatrick: I guess Detroiters felt although they deserved better they would keep submitting themselves to unethical leadership and thereby allow tricks of public administration to be perpetrated and imposed upon them.

Where's the jobs for the re-election Detroiters gave the gentlelady from Detroit? She promised Detroiters her coveted position on the Ways and Means Committee would translate into tangible benefits...well Flint has a new engine plant, and parts of Michigan have been celebrating some type of gubenatorial initiative, but Detroit which is the bedrock for revitalizing Michigan has gotten nothing but bad leadership!

See No Evil huh?

I guess the former Mayor did not know the girl his dad was involved with was a principal in a city contract that was awarded......and Cockrel is keeping these people around!

See no evil huh? Admit to no evil.

Standing?

Mr. Montgomery has standing. His suit should be heard. If cox does nothing because Worthy says she does not have the money-then Cockrel unjustly gets to hold his Council seat when he loses the Mayoral special election!

Montgomery's debt aside, the man has legal standing and the judge that ruled that Cockrel can keep his seat is evidence that Cockrel to needs to step aside from the Council. He's really not sure if he wants to be Mayor or a City Council person.

Cockrel has not standing-except the cronism of the Court that would rule in such a way and preclude Detroiters from having an opportunity at winning the seath ina special election. By right, Cockrel's Council Seat should be on the ballot for special election as well!

Kwame

I feel bad for the Detroit Club. Why they let Kwame's lying fat butt in the door last week is beyond me. When the crook gets out of jail all businesses in Detroit should bar him from walking through the door. If his mommy tried to get him in, they should bar her as well. Kids learn from their parents.

Robert Traylor

Traylor once played for the Milwaukee Bucks. The sports bar in the lower level of the Wisconsin Club had a framed poster of him with posing next to a semitruck. Between the problems he helped bring to the University of Michigan plus his more recent legal troubles, I'm thankful his picture has now been removed from the club. Good riddance to a low class guy.

Rick Mahorn

You go man ! Taxes are very personal. I owed a bit this year, and paid it off once my house sold. A little dicey waiting out the IRS though. -- bill@saving money

What Someone May Owe

Putting this personal information on the front page in a lousey blog is irresponsible. Having been caught up in the IRS bullpucky. I have found that just because an agency says something doesnt make it true. Unfortunately if that agency is the IRS, it does not matter if you can prove your innocence you still must pay. Stop being a shill for the socialists in Washington.

Alonzo Bates

Doesn't Mr. Bates still have a Detroit Public school named after him? What does that teach the children who attend it?

Sat. 08/23/08 01:00 PM

hmm

Doesn't seem likely tax officials in two different states would both be wrong.

TAXES

In the United States its now just like it was in England, something our forefathers fled from.

Over-taxation

Sergi's debt

I wonder if Federov still has his Harley Davison motorcycle and his Ferrari? Time to start cashing in the toys and pay the bills .......looser. Sounds just like the O'Meara guy! Living above his means and can't put down the "high life"!

Fri. 08/8/08 01:17 PM
