Royal Oak Parking Meters

Your remarks about the Royal Oak parking meter situation were great. I, too, resent getting ticketed after driving a half hour to shop in some of my favorite RO stores. Retail transactions often take longer than expected, and it is a major disappointment to be greeted at your car by a parking ticket. It's like the city is saying "up yours" as you drive away.

Weather mania

Boy you should live down here in Florida. I stay here for several months. It starts like this. Who will be getting colder weather this night. Tune in on the 6pm news to find out. Then they start to tell you what the temp will be . Usually below 50 degrees. Then come the hysterics. Turn your faucets on so they drip. Layer your clothing. Prevent frostbite by doing this and that. WE laugh and cannot believe how they carry on. Three days before thunderstorm starts, they start telling us to be on the look out for tornadoes. God it is exciting living in this modern age. The news media, all of them , must be on Prozac. We also have weather radios that were not working because of some snafu. They had been telling the public to purchase them because they were the best thing to get you awake in case of a tornado., Well they failed on the day a few days ago when bad weather came in. The intelligent news media came up with this idea. Keep you telelvisions on and listen to the weather and keep your computers fired up so you can be on top of things. Only thing they forgot was that much of the electrcity was out. You just gotta love our newscasters.

Threading in forums

We are working on adding threading to the forums. Clicking on the headline of a post will now get you related posts in a few different ways.

- If the post was sent to us in response to an article, clicking on that post's headline will retrieve all comments on that article, and clicking on the "See related article" link will send you to the article itself.

- If the comment was submitted in response to a cybersurvey, clicking on the headline will take you to the cybersurvey and its related comments.

- If you click on the headline of a forum post that was simply posted in the forum, you will get all posts with that same headline.

If you want to add a comment to a thread in the forum, use the same headline as the post to which you want to respond.

If you find a problem, please tell us, and thanks in advance for your patience as we work to improve the forums for you.
