iphone

The iphone was garbage when it came out last year and it is still garbage. It just looks "pretty". It doesnt have any features that other phones dont have. Apple makes good computers but screws everyone with pretty things that are low on features like the ipod.

Poor Economy

I'm sorry, I thought we are in a slumping economy. Why/how can standing in line to purchase an iPhone justify a slumping economy? We don't have a slumping economy. We just have a bunch or irresponsible people with poor spending habits that don't know what a budget is or how to manage their money. Then, when they get in too deep they want someone to bail them out of their foreclosed mortgage or credit card debit, i.e. bankruptcy.

I am an IT Consultant that travels 80% of the time and the other time is spent working from home. I have no need or desire for an iPhone or it's heft price tag so I find it rather hard to believe that the iPhone is such a priority for the fools that run right out ans spend the money for this needless gadget. Hey, did you pay your mortgage this month? Or your rent? Credit cards maxed out? Poor economy - ha!

Get WOW, get WOW!!!

Ten times happier with WOW than with Comcast...Comcast seemed to be working like a 1950s company...call them up and wait for 8 minutes and press 12 buttons and get no service....then after their so called "specials" on your cable and tv service, they jacked the bill up 35% after your "special" had expired. Then evertime it rained hard or the wind blew at 40 mph the TV went out...call comcast and press 20 buttons and no one answers...we went with the WOW bundled package for digital phone, high speed i/net and digital tv and the service has been wonderful...call WOW and you get a live person to take your call, in some cases they can send a rep to your house in one day for any problem..fast and efficient. Love WOW!!!! (also they give you free spyware and virus protection on your internet service**)

Hey guys...there's another player out there that's heads above all of the rest...WOW. After many years of wrestling with Comcast we switched to WOW...what a difference. With Comcast when we called with a problem we got an answer of of

"We haven't had any reports of trouble in that area". When we call WOW(damn infrequently) we get action, not excuses. Almost everyone I know has switched to WOW if it is available to them. I have WOW Internet, TV and Phone and couldn't ask for better prices, features and service.

Comcast was the definition of 'crap service'.

DirecTV is the love of my life. If anyone in here works for DirecTV and sees my comment, I want you to know that I love you long time.

I have cable and Internet through Comcast and Internet phone through AT&T. However, I am seriously looking into bundling cable, Internet and phone and get all the three from one company if it is cost-effective. I am glad there is finally some competition in this business, for I don't like the idea of any kind of monopolies. Monopolies foster inefficiencies, arrogance and incompetence.

I haven't had cable service since 1993 in Arkansas, where it was reasonable at about $12/month, and without a contract. I might buy it again IF they allow me to choose from a menu only the cnannels I want. But if they insist on a contract, they'll never get me to bite! I refuse to be ripped-off.

Meanwhile, between over-the-air digital & analog (including Canadian stations), the variety is more than adequate and will likely increase with time.

The internet is available via WI-FI for free all over town. I get 300 minutes of phone service via NET-10 for $30 every two months (additional minutes cost 10 cents each). And there is no contract. As long as everyone is willing to be ripped-off by these companies, they will contonue to screw you.

comcast like most companies have channels that you don't watch, but they are a part of the package. You should have the ability to pick your own channels and create your own package.

I have Comcast, all those packages have more features than I want and so cost too much. I have a HDTV and don't need a box to receive HD stations but Comcast limits them to less than what is available with an antenna. No one there knows what is going on with HD programming. When I tell them a box isn't necessary they can't believe it.

I have Comcast Triple Play.

The phone service is very good. A handy feature is the web-based voice-mail and call logs. One thing that really bugged me though was the fact that they must recycle phone numbers often, so you receive phone calls from people who are trying to contact the previous owner of that number.

The cable service, for the most part, is good as well. I have experienced some problems with the DVR (Digital Video Recorder) service, but the tech support people are very friendly and the issues were resolved quickly.

The high-speed internet service is great. My service is rated at 6 Megs/sec, but they have a feature called PowerBoost which opens up the download rate to 26 or 27MBS for short periods (12 seconds?) to quickly download larger files.

All in all, I'm quite satisfied with the Triple Play package.
